| A single Bat can eat 1000 mosquitoes an hour, Installing a bat house can be a sensible, environmentally friendly alternative to propane powered devices designed to do the same thing. With West Nile Virus and the general annoyance mosquitoes can create, attracting bats can make great sense. While we don't desire them in our homes, outside, they are a beneficial,important part of our environment. A bat house can give bats a place to roost and after the initial cost, serve it's purpose a long time. There is no propane or parts to buy to keep it operational and it has the potential to keep mosquitoes at bay if it is installed correctly Important considerations are the type of house, how it's installed and where it is installed. We use bat houses certified by Bat conservation International and have experience with the best place to install them.
